Wayne and Tami Mercer, co-owners of Circle M Farm purchased Circle M Farm Feed and Supply and began selling freezer beef from their two sons, Austin and Blake’s 4-H projects. They quickly learned there was a need for wholesome food in the community with no gimmicks.

The 4-H projects grew as did the feed business. What started out as something small, turned into much, much more! After the COVID-19 Pandemic, Tami and Wayne put their heads together to build a harvest and processing facility to serve the greater Southern, OH area. Circle M Meats was born, right at the kitchen table.

Circle M Meats retails meat that is raised right on the farm on State Route 776. Blake raises and manages all the cattle and provides proper care and handling. It’s not everyday you can see exactly where your food comes from and who raises it, Circle M Meats decided to change that!

After months, and months of building, Circle M Meats officially opened its doors for custom exempt harvest and processing in August of 2021. The facility is now provides inspected harvest and processing from the Ohio Department of Agriculture Food Safety Inspection Service. Circle M Meats integrated the Cooperative Interstate Shipment program allowing customers to ship and sell meat across state lines.  The facility now operates under federal inspection.

Wayne and Tami’s two sons are both graduates of The Ohio State University with degrees in Agriculture. Austin graduated with a degree in Agronomy, and Blake graduated with a degree in Animal Science and Meat Science. Blake’s wife, Kalyn also works for the family managing the plant, she graduated from The Ohio State University also with a degree in Agriculture Communication and Meat Science. The family proudly operates both businesses, Circle M Farm Feed and Supply and Circle M Meats.

Circle M Meats provided new full-time and part-time employment for Jackson and surrounding counties. The team means so much to the Mercer family. Every position adds value to Circle M.

Circle M Meats also features a deli where we carry Walnut Creek lunch meats and cheeses as well as daily lunch specials. There are many other goods in the storefront including fresh produce during the growing season!
